True to this motto, our family has been doing everything in its power for more than 50 years to build a successful family business and make it fit for the future for generations to come.
It all began in the 1950s with a grocery and textile store in Baden Württemberg. This became the “Jägerstüble” in the 1960s. A fast-food restaurant before they were even fashionable. Later the “Jagdstuben”, the best address in Bad Rappenau for game specialties of the finest kind.
In 1996, Viktor and Jeanette Steiger opened the 4**** Hotel Sebnitzer Hof in Sebnitz, laying the foundations for the Steiger Hotels.
Margaux, their daughter, has been at the helm since 2012 and has continuously developed the company ever since.
Today, Steiger Hotels is the largest hotel group in Saxon Switzerland. Six hotels with pool & sauna, all classified 4**** belong to the group.
Today, the company is run by Margaux and her husband, chef André Steiger, with their son Lorenz already lending a helping hand.
We are breaking new ground and have learned that change is the only constant. That we have to make an effort. That it takes family cohesion. And that nothing comes from nothing!
